SUMMARY OF THE BERLIN FASHION WEEK
CATRICE x THE BERLINER MODE SALON –
A co-operation on the road to success
In its fifth season, the concept of the BERLINER MODE SALON (Berlin Fashion Salon) has established itself: with a total of 40 participating designers, young talents and renowned designers from the German fashion scene presented their Autumn & Winter Collections 2017 in the impressive setting of the late neoclassical Kronprinzenpalais, in the Humboldt-Forum of the Berlin Castle, in the ESMT Berlin in the Ehemaliges Staatsratsgebäude (Former State Council Building) and in the Imperial Telegraph Office (Kaiserlichen Telegraphenamt) from the 17th until the 19th of January 2017. The aim of the initiative to promote German fashion design nationally as well as internationally has already manifested itself, and is supported in the media as well as by retailers and cultural institutions.
The cosmetics brand CATRICE was involved for the fourth time as an official sponsor and exclusive beauty partner. In collaboration with make-up artist Loni Baur, Head of Make-up, CATRICE created trendsetting beauty looks for 11 designers, who presented their collections within the framework of defilees and a group presentation.
Marcus Kurz, Co-Initiator of the BERLINER MODE SALON: “Thanks to the perfect collaboration with CATRICE, we are able to guarantee the designers a creative realisation of their presentations. Without this fabulous cooperation, this fashion week could not have achieved this level of success.”
Following successful co-operations in previous seasons with Berlin labels such as lala Berlin, Kaviar Gauche and Dawid Tomaszewski as well as international designer duos like Capara and this year’s repeated involvement with the BERLINER MODE SALON, the response has been consistently positive: CATRICE and the designers are pleased with the creative collaboration and the resulting innovative impulses. “Working with CATRICE is wonderful because the make-up is the last important piece of the puzzle for the runway looks and gives the collection the perfect finishing touch. Loni Baur perfectly underlines my moods and always creates a pure, delicate look with a certain edge,” states designer Malaika Raiss, for whom CATRICE created a matching beauty look to go with the collection for the second time in cooperation with Loni Bauer.
Press Release: Julia Seemann Make-up Autumn & Winter 2017 by CATRICE
Yesterday morning, on Thursday, the 19th of January 2017, the designer Julia Seemann presented her Autumn & Winter Collection 2017/18 as part of the BERLINER MODE SALON (Berlin Fashion Salon) for the first time. The show “Julia Seemann presented by Mercedes-Benz & ELLE” took place in the premises of the Kronprinzenpalais.
For the fourth time in a row, the cosmetics brand CATRICE is the official make-up partner and sponsor of the Berliner Mode Salon (Berlin Fashion Salon) – therefore, all models received a professional make-up styling with CATRICE products for the defilee by Julia Seemann.
With this make-up look, the focus is on copper Cat Eyes, which are complemented by “Faded Lips“.
Here is a step-by-step guide to creating the make-up of the show:
Step 1: To create a perfect complexion with a healthy glow, the Prime And Fine Healthy Look Primer is applied on its own or mixed with the foundation.
Step 2: The eyebrows are brushed into shape and then set in place with the help of the Lash Brow Designer Shaping And Conditioning Gel Mascara 010.
Step 3: The eyes are given a blended Cat Eye look in copper:
1) First, the eye is framed with the Longlasting Lip Pencil 100 Upper Brown Side. At the top, the line goes all the way up to the crease of the lid, and on the bottom, it follows the lower lashline and then tapers upwards towards the temple.
2) The Stylo Eyeshadow Pen 030 Copper And Paste is applied around the eye and blended.
3) The Deluxe Trio Eyeshadow 030 Rose Vintouch is used to give the lids a special depth. It is ideal for creating fine, soft contours in the crease of the lid, below the eye and along the lashline.
Step 4: The lashes are kept minimal by only applying a light coat of the Glam & Doll Volume Mascara 010 at the roots
Step 5: “Faded Lips” look like they’ve just been kissed – this is achieved by mixing the Longlasting Lip Pencil 100 Upper Brown Side with the Stylo Eyeshadow Pen 030 Copper And Paste and the Ultimate Colour Lip Colour 450 Legend'Berry. Apply this colourful blend beyond the outline of the lips and then smudge softly.
Step 6: The nails are given a transparent and matt finish with the Silk Matt Top Coat.
Press Release: Marina Hoermanseder Make-up Autumn & Winter 2017/18 by CATRICE
Yesterday afternoon, on Thursday, the 19th of January 2017, the designer Marina Hoermanseder presented her Autumn & Winter Collection 2017/18 as part of the BERLINER MODE SALON (Berlin Fashion Salon) in the premises of the Kaiserliche Telegraphenamt (Imperial Telegraph Office). For the fourth time in a row, the cosmetics brand CATRICE is the official make-up partner and sponsor of the Berliner Mode Salon (Berlin Fashion Salon) – therefore, all models received a professional make-up styling with CATRICE products for the defilee by Marina Hoermanseder.
With this make-up look, the focus is on the lips. The upper and lower lips are given a particularly impressive look thanks to the innovative beauty trend of Dark Ombré Lips.
Here is a step-by-step guide to creating the make-up of the show:
Step 1: To create a light, smooth and at the same time matt complexion, the skin is primed and given a lighter shade than usual with the help of the HD Liquid Coverage Foundation, the Camouflage Cream and the Prime And Fine Mattifying Powder Waterproof 010 Translucent.
Step 2: The brows are only brushed into shape.
Step 3: For an intensive look, the lashline is subtly filled in using the Liquid Gel Cushion Eye Liner 010 The Black Sheep. If desired, a few individual lashes can also be applied to add density. The lashes are left natural without any mascara.
Step 4: The focus of this make-up look is clearly on the lips – Dark Ombré Lips:
1) First, the upper and lower lips are outlined with the matt Kohl Kajal 010 Ultra Black.
2) As the next step, the upper and lower lips are coloured in with the glossy Cream Lip Artist 070 The Dark Orchid Rises. In doing so, the lips are only slightly faded, so that the outline is still visible without being harsh.
3) Finally, the bright, glossy red of the Shine Appeal Fluid Lipstick Intense 010 Welcome To The CabaRED is applied on the centre of the lips to create an ombré look.
Step 4: The nails are given a transparent, glossy finish with the Ultimate Nail Lacquer 104 Klarlack (clear polish).
Press Release: William Fan Make-up Autumn & Winter 2017/18 by CATRICE
Yesterday evening, on Thursday, the 19th of January 2017, the designer William Fan presented his Autumn & Winter Collection 2017/18 as part of the BERLINER MODE SALON (Berlin Fashion Salon) in the premises of the EMST Berlin | Ehemaliges Staatsratsgebäude (Former State Council Building). For the fourth time in a row, the cosmetics brand CATRICE is the official make-up partner and sponsor of the Berliner Mode Salon (Berlin Fashion Salon) – therefore, all models received a professional make-up styling with CATRICE products for the defilee by William Fan.
The special thing about the look by William Fan this season: there are a total of three different make-up looks: the first look focuses on white eyeliner, which is incomplete on one side; the second look impresses with semi-painted lips in red and the third look shows just one eye with make-up, which stands out even more thanks to additional lashes.
The idea behind the looks is based on the fast-paced world, which is symbolised by the bustling Chinatown in the show – everything has to get done quickly. Each individual look remains incomplete, which at the same time conveys the charm of a not quite perfect and therefore raw look.
Here is a step-by-step guide to creating the first make-up of the show:
Step 1: The skin remains pure and natural. Only small flaws and skin irregularities are concealed with powder and given a slight touch-up.
Step 2: The brows are brushed into shape and the lashes remain natural without mascara.
Step 3: Only the lower lip is painted in a matt red. A new shade is created by mixing the Longlasting Lip Pencil 130 Prince Cherry and the Velvet Matt Lip Cream 060 REDvolution. Once the colour has been applied, the lower lip is additionally mattified with the Prime And Fine Mattifying Powder Waterproof 010 Translucent matt.
Here is a step-by-step guide to creating the second make-up of the show:
Step 1: The skin remains pure and natural. Only small flaws and skin irregularities are concealed with powder and given a slight touch-up.
Step 2: For a complexion with a fresh touch, a small amount of the lipstick Ultimate Colour Lip Colour 370 In A Rosegarden is applied on the middle of each cheek.
Step 3: The brows are brushed into shape and the lashes remain natural without mascara.
Step 4: A fine, white line is applied on the right eye (the left eye when viewed from the front) with the Kohl Kajal 040 White, sweeping along the inner and outer edges of the upper lashline. The left eye (the right eye when viewed from the front) is kept subtle with just a short line along the outer, upper lashline.
Step 5: The Volumizing Lip Booster 010 is applied on the lower lip for a bold shine effect. The upper lip, on the other hand, is mattified.
Here is a step-by-step guide to creating the third make-up of the show:
Step 1: The skin remains pure and natural. Only small flaws and skin irregularities are concealed with powder and given a slight touch-up.
Step 2: Only the brow above the left eye (the right eye when viewed from the front) is filled in and brought into shape – with the help of the Eyebrow Stylist and the Eye Brow Set.
Step 3: Only the left eye is accentuated with a black eyeliner, which is swept along the upper lashline. The Liquid Gel Cushion Eye Liner 010 The Black Sheep is used for this.
Step 4: To make the eyes look larger, the left eye (the right eye when viewed from the front) is enhanced by applying false lashes such as the Couture Classical Volume Lashes on the upper lashline.
Step 5: The one-sided eye make-up is perfectly rounded off by applying a mixture of the Prêt-à-Lumière Longlasting Eyeshadow 030 Diner En Blanc and the Made To Stay Highlighter Pen 030 Eye Need! as a subtle highlight on the inner corner of the eye.
Step 6: The lips remain pure without lipstick.
All three looks are complemented by the same manicure:
The nails are given optionally a pure matt, a glossy red or pink finish with the Silk Matt Top Coat, with the Ultimate Nail Lacquer 91 It's All About That Red or with the Ultimate Nail Lacquer 27 The Pinky And The Brain.
Press Release: Antonia Goy Make-up Autumn & Winter 2017/18 by CATRICE
Yesterday morning, on Tuesday, the 17th of January 2017, the designer label Antonia Goy presented its Autumn & Winter Collection 2017/18 as part of the BERLINER MODE SALON (Berlin Fashion Salon) in the premises of the Kronprinzenpalais. For the fourth time in a row, the cosmetics brand CATRICE is the official make-up partner and sponsor of the Berliner Mode Salon (Berlin Fashion Salon) – therefore, all models received a professional make-up styling with CATRICE products for the defilee by Antonia Goy.
With this make-up look, the focus is on a “lived in” eye make-up style, which is dedicated to the Brit era of the 90’s with its “Heroin Chic” look. This was particularly embodied by the style icon and top model Kate Moss back then.
Here is a step-by-step guide to creating the make-up of the show:
Step 1: To achieve a light and at the same time matt complexion, small flaws are concealed with the help of the Camouflage Cream. Next, the skin is evenly mattified with the Prime And Fine Mattifying Powder Waterproof.
Step 2: The brows are left looking natural and no mascara is used so that the eyes have an edgy, “lived in” look.
a) To do this, frame the eyes with the Kohl Kajal 010 Ultra Black. The eyeliner is also applied on the inner and outer corners of the eyes up to the crease of the lid.
b) In addition, apply the Longlasting Lip Pencil 140 Sweet Auberginia in aubergine in the crease of the lid and along the lower lash line – underneath the black eyeliner. Next, use a brush to subtly blend the eyeliner.
c) Finally, apply the 8 hour cream and the glossy Lip Cushion 060 What Happens After Midnight and blend into a smudgy finish with your fingers.
Step 3: For this look, the lips stay in the background and can even be reduced with concealer if desired.
Step 4: The nails are also given a “Used Look“ by applying the Noir Lacquers 01 Noir Marron and removing a little of it in the middle with a cotton bud (without nail polish remover) before it dries.
Press Release: Odeeh Make-up Autumn & Winter 2017/18 by CATRICE
Yesterday evening, on Tuesday, the 17th of January 2017, the designer duo Odeeh presented their Autumn & Winter Collection 2017/18 for the second time as part of the BERLINER MODE SALON (Berlin Fashion Salon) in the Humboldt-Forum of the former Berlin Castle. The models of the defilee were given a professional styling with CATRICE products. This year, the cosmetics brand CATRICE is the official make-up partner and sponsor of the renowned salon for the fourth time in a row.
For this beauty look, the focus is on a soft, fresh and feminine eye make-up style. The eye is only subtly accentuated with a reduced eyeliner look.
Hier die Step-by-Step-Anleitung zum Show-Make-up:
Here is a step-by-step guide to creating the make-up of the show:
Step 1: To create a complexion with a soft glow, the Prime And Fine Nude Glow Primer is mixed into the foundation.
Step 2: The cheeks are given a soft flush by using the lipstick Ultimate Colour In A Rosegarden as a creamy blush. It is applied on the centre of the cheeks just below the eyes.
Step 3: The dark side of the Prime And Fine Contouring Duo Stick 010 Lighter Skin is used to achieve a light shading affect in the crease of the lid and underneath the eye.
Step 4: The Made To Stay Inside Eye Highlighter Pen 010 In The Mood For Nude visibly opens the eyes for a wide-awake look. It is applied along the waterline.
Step
Step 5: A fine line is drawn close to the upper lashline with the Liquid Metal Gel Eye Pencil 050 Hazel The Hoff. Let the line “fade out” subtly across the outer corners of the eyes and smudge gently.
Step 6: Using the light side of the Prime And Fine Contouring Duo Stick 010 Lighter Skin, set highlights underneath the brows, around the outer corners of the eyes on the cheekbone, on the bridge of the nose, on the chin and above the lip bow.
Step 7: The lips remain pure without lipstick or can be balanced out with the Lip Foundation Pencil 010 Can't You Hear That Super Base? or the Lip Foundation Pencil 040 I Take You To The Chocolate Shop if the natural colour has an undertone that is too red or bluish.
Step 8: The nails are given a natural, matt look with the Silk Matt Top Coat.
Press Release: MALAIKARAISS Make-up Autumn & Winter 2017/18 by CATRICE
Yesterday evening, on Thursday, the 19th of January 2017, the designer MALAIKARAISS presented her Autumn & Winter Collection 2017/18 as part of the BERLINER MODE SALON (Berlin Fashion Salon) in the Humboldt-Forum of the former Berlin Castle. For the fourth time in a row, the cosmetics brand CATRICE is the official make-up partner and sponsor of the Berliner Mode Salon (Berlin Fashion Salon) – all models received a professional make-up styling with CATRICE products for the MALAIKARAISS defilee.
With this make-up look, the focus is on the cheeks. The so-called “Blush Flush” technique only uses blush for contouring, which gives the look a particularly fresh and modern touch.
Here is a step-by-step guide to creating the make-up of the show:
Step 1: To achieve a matt complexion, the first step is to make the skin look flawless – for example with the new HD Liquid Coverage Foundation and the Camouflage Cream. Next, the Prime And Fine Mattifying Powder Waterproof 010 Translucent or alternatively, the Nude Illusion Loose Powder, is used for a strong mattifying effect.
Step 2: In keeping with the current “Boyish Brows Trend”, the brows are heavily brushed, defined and subsequently filled using the Eye Brow Set and the Eye Brow Stylist.
Step 3: The Blush Flush is what makes this beauty look stand out: the shades of the Blush Artist Shading Palette 030 Rock'n'Rose are used generously on the cheekbones and diagonally swept upwards across the temples. Additionally, the blush is also applied in the shape of a dovetail from the outer area of the eye and up to the upper edge of the brow (around a third of the length above the brow), which results in an expressive, fresh complexion.
Step
Step 4: The lips are kept pure with only a touch of light care balm without much shine.
Step 5: The nails are given a modern, dark finish with the Noir Noir Lacquers 02 Noir Rouge.

Fashion Show. All models received a professional make-up styling with CATRICE
products for the runway.
As Head of Make-up, Loni Baur created a natural, delicate porcelain look with a

Bridal Couture Collection “Sans Souci” perfectly,” according to the Kaviar Gauche
designers Alexandra Fischer-Roehler and Johanna Kühl.
Here are the step-by-step instructions for the make-up look:
Step 1: As the very first step, thoroughly cleanse the face. Next, create a flawless,
matt complexion with the HD Liquid Coverage Foundation. Match the foundation to
the individual skin tone as naturally as possible.
Step 2: Contour the face with the help of the Prime and Fine Contouring Duo Stick.
Step 3: For a long-lasting, matt complexion, lightly powder the t-zone with the Prime and Fine Mattifying Powder Waterproof. The gentle formula with a soft focus effect refines the surface of the skin.
Step 4: Define and accentuate the cheeks with a mixture of the Illuminating Blush 040 La Vie En Rose and the medium shade of the Blush Artist Shading Palette 020 CorAll I Need for a beautiful, fresh look.
Step 5: To create a subtle, golden glow, use the Highlighter C01 Clair De Lune and set soft highlights on the bridge of the nose and above the cheekbones - sweeping upwards towards the temples.
Step 6: Brush the brows into shape with the Eye Brow Stylist and fill in any gaps with the colour pencil on the other end.
Step 7: For the golden highlight of this look, apply the Cream Eye Shadow & Liner C01 Force D'Or on the outer corner of the eye – in a similar fashion to an accidental thumbprint. To intensify the golden sparkle, apply fine glitter on top.
Step 8: First, curl the lashes into shape and then apply a touch of brown mascara on only the upper third of the lashes or, alternatively, apply a coat of the brown tinted Eyebrow Filler – Perfecting & Shaping Gel 10.
Step 9: For subtle, nude lips with a beautiful shine, apply the Lip Colour C01 Nude Sublime – this way, they will look wonderfully natural.
In addition, dabbing transparent lipgloss on the eyelids and lips creates a fashionable high-shine finish.
Step 10: To go with this natural overall look, paint the toenails and fingernails with the Nail Lacquer C02 Nuit Fleurie.

CATRICE and Kaviar Gauche are both thrilled about their collaboration in an international context.

After the label cooperated with CATRICE at Berlin Fashion week last January, the cosmetics brand will be supporting the designer label for the first time in Paris. Last year the fashion label celebrated a milestone – a whole decade in the business. The recipe for their success: Kaviar Gauche consistently delivered on their promise: unconventional luxury, with feminine classic elements and revolutionary details, combined in an innovative way. The pinnacle of this fashion evolution was reached with the introduction of the Bridal Couture Collection.
This season, both designers Alexandra Fischer-Roehler and Johanna Kühl are looking forward once again to being supported by CATRICE. Further cooperations for the future, especially in terms of the development of collaborative make up collections, as in May of this year, are certainly not being ruled out.
“Kaviar Gauche is an established designer label, which, in addition to modern glamour, represents success and continuity,” says Mirela Abadi, the founder of Prag Agency.
REVIEW of the Fashion Week in Berlin
CATRICE x Berliner Mode Salon: Concept on a road to success
Favourite event of the past week: The Berliner Mode Salon. The goal of the two initiators, the Chief Editor of German Vogue, Christiane Arp, and the Managing Director of NOWADAYS, Marcus Kurz, as well as their partners CATRICE and Wella, has been more than fulfilled: German fashion has found its platform. The inspiring setting of the historical Kronprinzenpalais fully served its purpose as a location for talented young designers as well as established labels. Designers were able to present their fashion here and talk to selected visitors at the same time.
A total of 30 German designers showed their latest collections within the framework of the second Berliner Mode Salon from the 8th of July until the 10th of July 2015. As an official partner of the Berliner Mode Salon, CATRICE created a total of eleven trendsetting make-up looks in collaboration with Loni Baur, Head of Make-up, and was responsible for the models’ styling together with Wella.
Following successful collaborations with Lala Berlin, Kaviar Gauche, Dawid Tomaszewski and CAPARA in the past years and this year’s premiere at the Berliner Mode Salon, CATRICE has just completed its fifth Berlin Fashion Week. The résumé of the event has turned out extremely positive: CATRICE and the designers are very happy about the creative collaboration as well as the innovative impulses.
This is the fifth time in a row that CATRICE has created the beauty look in collaboration with Loni Baur to go with the collection by Lala Berlin and both sides complement each other perfectly. “CATRICE and Lala Berlin are a great match because we understand each other – regarding our approach to the make-up looks that we create together as well as the colours that are made available to us,” states Lala Berlin designer Leyla Piedayesh.
Dawid Tomaszewski, who worked with CATRICE for the second time, also speaks of a unique connection: “CATRICE is special. It is a brand with a young focus that has a fresh touch. I like it when something new is created, when changes take place in my mind and when two parties give a topic some thought. This can result in a totally new look – and I believe that’s what makes it all so exciting.”
Dagmar Riedel-Keil, Director at CATRICE, is happy about the positive feedback and believes in the concept of the Berliner Mode Salon: “Our aim is to unite fashion and beauty and convince consumers about creativity – made in Germany. The Berliner Mode Salon initiative has proven that we can steer the Berlin Fashion Week in a great direction nationally as well as internationally in an individual as well as sophisticated manner.”
CATRICE is an official make-up partner of the 2nd Berliner Mode Salon (Fashion Salon)
New season, new styles. CATRICE is heading into the next round and continuing to prove its dedication to German fashion design. Following successful collaborations with Lala Berlin, Kaviar Gauche, Dawid Tomaszewski and CAPARA, this summer marks CATRICE’s fifth season at the Berlin Fashion Week and its first as the official make-up partner of the Berliner Mode Salon.
The 2nd Berliner Mode Salon will be taking place at the Berlin Kronprinzenpalais from the 8th until the 10th of July 2015. In addition to presentations and fashion shows, the Berlin Mode Salon offers time for inspiring conversations with the designers. The mutual goal of the two initiators - the Chief Editor of German Vogue Christiane Arp and Marcus Kurz, Managing Director of the creative agency NOWADAYS – is to sustainably strengthen the perception of German fashion design and encourage a successful future.
CATRICE and the Berliner Mode Salon are united by more than their mutual love of fashion: “Both believe in the power of innovative work approaches and inspire consumers with their creativity – made in Germany. We are looking forward to supporting this project with German fashion designers,” states Dagmar Riedel-Keil, Marketing Director of CATRICE, and adds: “a partnership between fashion and beauty is extremely important to us, which is why we have been cooperating with young design talents and renowned brands for years. The Berliner Mode Salon steers the Berlin Fashion Week in a futureoriented direction nationally as well as internationally – a fantastic initiative that we fully support with excitement and enthusiasm.“
More than 25 designer labels, for the first time also including accessory and jewellery labels, will be presenting their Spring/Summer collections as a group exhibition on the 10th of July. The designers include: Iris von Armin, Michael Sontag, Hien Le, Talbot Runhof and Dawid Tomaszewski. Furthermore, individual designers such as Hien Le will be presenting their collections as part of a fashion show on location. Make-up artist Loni Baur as Head of Make-up in cooperation with CATRICE will create the trendy make-up looks. The exclusive hair styling partner is Wella Professionals.
A novel element of the event is that the Vogue Salon, one of the renowned initiatives for young German design talents, will also be taking place in the Kronprinzenpalais as part of the Berliner Mode Salon on the 10th of July. For the ninth time, German Vogue will be inviting aspiring designers to present their collections to a selected audience of experts from the fashion industry.
Designer Platform by CATRICE
Cosmetics brand CATRICE continues its commitment to the MBFW — Autumn & Winter 2015/16
This is the fourth season that CATRICE will be offering selected designers a platform for presentation at the coming Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. The cosmetics brand will be supporting two selected designer labels for the Autumn & Winter season. This season, CATRICE has chosen to work with the Berlin designer label Kaviar Gauche and CAPARA from Antwerp as an official partner and make-up sponsor. Both brands will be presenting their new collections in the Palazzo Italia in Berlin Mitte on the 21st of January.
“We are very pleased to be continuing the designer platform this season and are looking forward to collaborating with extraordinary designer labels. Like CATRICE, Kaviar Gauche stands for a love of detail, femininity and elegance – and an innovative, international label from Antwerp is on board for the first time with CAPARA. A high-quality and multifaceted combination that is a good fit for us”, states Dagmar Riedel-Keil, Marketing Director of CATRICE. A partnership between fashion and beauty is an important part of the innovative brand philosophy of CATRICE, sponsor and partner of both fashion shows. As well as offering classic shades, the cosmetics brand updates its collection by 25 per cent twice a year in order to capture the trendiest colours of the international runways. CATRICE, which is represented in 38 countries around the world with its high-quality products, is an official make-up partner at various shows during the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Berlin for the fourth year in a row. The cosmetics brand is once again cooperating with the professional make-up artist Loni Baur to create the make-up looks for Kaviar Gauche and CAPARA.
A designer label with a firm foothold in Berlin and in Paris is getting involved this season: Kaviar Gauche. Back in September, the label presented its collection at the Paris Fashion week for the second time. And last year marked an important milestone – they celebrated their 10th anniversary. The secret of their success: Kaviar Gauche always lives up to its name: unconventional luxury with classic, feminine elements united with revolutionary details in an innovative manner. The introduction of the Bridal Couture collection is the peak of the company’s style evolution. This season, the two designers Alexandra Fischer-Roehler and Johanna Kühl are pleased to be a part of the Designer Platform and will be presenting an Evening Collection at the Berlin Fashion Week with both Couture and Bridal elements.
In addition to Kaviar Gauche, a label from Antwerp will be presented within this setting for the first time with CAPARA. The designer duo Olivera and Vera Capara follows the tradition of the “Antwerp Six”: after graduating from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, the sisters worked for Maison Martin Margiela, Dries van Noten, Raf Simons and Delvaux. Since the establishment of their own label in 2009, they have so far only presented their collections in Paris. They will be showing their Autumn & Winter collection 2015/16 in Berlin for the first time this year. “CAPARA embodies the principle of avant garde fashion and extraordinary design – and the international aspect also plays an important part. With Kaviar Gauche, we have an established designer label on board that stands for modern glamour, success and continuity,” says Mirela Abadi, founder of the Prag Agency,
The Prag Agency is supporting the success of this project with its many years of experience in the fashion industry. In addition to brands like Lala Berlin, the PR agency has already helped leverage Berlin labels like Kaviar Gauche, Ina Beissner and Achtland. The Prag Agency will be responsible for the entire organisation of the show, from developing the themes to the selection of locations and the set-up as well as the music. In the long-term, the Designer Platform project aims to establish Berlin as a fashion hub that is relevant beyond the German borders. The objective is to offer further nationally established as well as international designers a platform to present their collections.
